| Description | In this paper, there is a re-evaluation of Reich's concepts of plasmatic contraction and muscular armoring in character development. While intricately intertwined, plasma (in the form of connective tissue) and muscle tissue are essentially different and therefore different understandings and interventions are called for while working with patients. It is possible to separate these two anatomically and functionally different tissues and create a clearer picture as to the cause of character armor – both physical as well as psychic – and to deepen our understanding as how to treat theses different states. This approach is especially directed towards understanding early disturbance. (1997-98) | ||
